The church of St Georges

The building of the church of St Georges  possibly predates that of the castle itself, although no item earlier than 1100 was recovered during the excavations. This building was badly damaged in the bombing raids of 1944 and has since been restored, with the Musée de Normandie using it regularly for temporary exhibitions.
