The church of St Georges
The original building was probably founded in the 10 th century, but nothing remains of it. Of the Romanesque church that took its place in around 1100, the walls of the nave are still standing. Reconstruction of the chancel and major alterations gave the church its present appearance between the end of the Hundred Years War (1450) and the early decades of the 16 th c. During the most recent restoration work, the main entrance in the west gable wall was not repaired, after being destroyed in 1944.
